Vessel Opportunity Skimming System

The skimmer presents a conveyor-belt to the oil/water interface and directs it under water to a collection well. The collection well has a discharge port along its bottom, allowing water to be released and providing gravity oil/water separation. A delivery pump in the skimmer sucks oil off the well when there is thick oil film in it. Deb is and oil tar­ball are enclosed in the basket in the well. 

The Vessel Opportunity Skimming System consists of three parts: Skimmer, Power pack and hoses. The skimmer towed by a vessel advances and skims oil. The power pack on deck of the vessel supplies hydraulic powe「 through hydraulic hoses to hydraulic motors in the skimmer, which drive skimming belt and t「ansfer pump. The oil recovered by skimmer is transferred to a storage device of vessel. The vessel should have a crane to deploy skimmer. 

It is suitable for recovering all viscosities of oils.

It has high throughput efficiency.

Wind and wave have less impact on recovering efficiency.
